The Bear are currently looking to fill the following vacancies:Kitchen Assisstant & a Chef De Partie. Both are 40 hours a week with competitive salaries, Local staff preferred but all applicants will be considered. The Bear Inn at Stock, Essex is now under new ownership and Richard and Brenda extend a warm welcome having tirelessly refurbished the pub. They wish to bring back some of the values that made The Bear a thriving local meeting place whilst continuing to provide some great food (under the watchful eye of manager Peter Ankin) which has in the last few years won The Bear awards including an AA rosette for 2005/2006 for outstanding cuisine and two Michelin knife and forks for 2006).
Staff at The Bear believe that through a commitment to quality of service and value for money, they will be able to entice customers old and new, to partake in the relaxing environment they are keen to provide. Running coffee mornings, dining and providing some fine beers will help their mission to become the number 1 pub in Stock and the surrounding area.
With their refurbishment The Bear now has a warm and cosy feel to it as soon as you enter through the door with an emphasis on comfort within a traditional environment. Added to this separate function/dining rooms and a very large beer garden (perfect for al fresco dining in Summer) and The Bear is also a perfect venue for private events and functions like wedding receptions, private parties and business seminars.
